I had the same problem you did.  Removing the trailing lines and moving 
the fwrite() fclose() lines onto a new line fixed the problem for me.

Let me know if you try that and if it doesn't work, I'll send you my 
copy.  Mine is slightly modified but it will still work as originally 
designed.
