I had the same problem with DHCP getting blocked on bridged interfaces. It got solved by changing the cable from opt1 to opt2 and from opt2 to opt 1. I found out, that the block is only working in one direction. Strange, but this way it worked for me. I´m using the following configuration now with 2 filtering bridges: LAN1 with DHCP-Server - m0n01 - s2m-router1--------------------s2m-router2 - m0n02- LAN2 Both m0n0walls are acting as filtering bridge to make voip run smoothly over the 2mbit-s2m connection between the two locations. LAN2 get´s IP´s assigned by the DHCP-Server from LAN1. regards, Holger Bauer -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: Jon Tackabury [mailto:jtackabury at binaryfortress dot com] Gesendet: Sa 04.09.2004 19:36 An: m0n0wall at lists dot m0n0 dot ch Cc: Betreff: RE: [m0n0wall] Bridging Question Update: I seem to have got the rules to sort of work. However, I can't get DHCP to work on that interface. I created a rule that allows all UDP traffic anywhere on the OPT2 interface, but in my system log I can see all the DHCP requests being dropped. Anyone else ever tried to do this? I have enabled "Enable filtering bridge" under the advanced settings but this doesn't seem to do anything. I have a rule on OPT2 that says drop all traffic, yet all traffic is still being passed. Have I mis-understood how to work bridging? Can someone give me any ideas?
