Hello All, I've got a simple setting and would like to get some help. I am pretty sure that I am doing something wrong. At home, I have a 192.168.2.0/24 network and my desktop, running windows XP, has the IP address 192.168.2.100 (assigned by DHCP). The network has a simple linux firewall that does NATing. So nothing earth shattering. From this windows box I can PPTP fine into my office's VPN (running m0n0wall, of course). The lan setting there is also 192.168.2.0/24. There is a samba server there with the IP address 192.168.2.2. The PPTP setting is: SERVER IP: 192.168.2.47 REMOTE ADDRESS RANGE: 192.168.2.48/28 So in summary AT HOME: network = 192.168.2.0/24 pptp client = 192.168.2.100/24 AT OFFICE network = 192.168.2.0/24 pptp service ip = 192.168.2.27 pptp remote address range = 192.168.2.48/28 Authentication works fine... But for some reason, I cannot ping or get on to 192.168.2.2 (on the office's lan). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. John |
