There is no compression support in netgraph mppc freebsd module in which mpd based on, due to patent licencing from HiFn. http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/cvsweb.cgi/~checkout~/src/sys/netgraph/ng_mppc.c?rev=1.21&content-type=text/plain (search for NETGRAPH_MPPC_COMPRESSION ) http://www.hifn.com/products/MPPC.html this applies only for Usa/Canada/Japan. You are free to create an alternative (de)compression method which is mppc compatible if you live somewhere else, just like the linux way (http://www.polbox.com/h/hs001/) -chris ----- Original Message ----- From: "Andy Choi" <andyiowalist at mchsi dot com> To: <m0n0wall at lists dot m0n0 dot ch> Sent: Saturday, September 25, 2004 9:46 PM Subject: [m0n0wall] PPTP > Sweet, so I got m0n0wall working with PPTP, MSCHAPv2 and a windows 2003 > radius server. fo shizzo! > > Anywho, I noticed that my VPN connections do not have compression > enabled.
