I would like to know the correct way to connect PPTP/IPSEC over my wireless AP which is running on M0n0wall. I have a net4521: LAN 192.168.1.1/24 WAN External IP OPT1 10.10.10.1/8 (Wireless) Right now I seem to be connected over PPTP as outlined in the doc [http://m0n0.ch/wall/docbook/pptp.html]. I am connected on the wireless network in the m0n0wall box on the 10.10.10.x subnet, and I configured PPTP's server address to be: 10.10.10.254. This seems to work but I want to be sure this is the right way to do things and that everything is now encrypted properly. My ipconfig shows the following: [does all traffic now run encrpyed thru the PPTP session now?] Ethernet adapter Wireless Network Connection 6: Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : local IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 10.10.10.199 Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.0.0.0 Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 10.10.10.1 Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection: Media State . . . . . . . . . . . : Media disconnected PPP adapter HomeNetwork: Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 10.10.10.208 Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.255 Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 10.10.10.208 My client is a XP SP2 box using XP's PPTP. I haven't been able to immediately find a 'free' IPSEC Client, am I missing something or does one exist? Also would like to get this working with a linux client, the info is pretty sketchy in regard to specific m0n0 docs for this, does anyone have a pointer/howto for connecting using sing PPTP or IPSEC from linux client.
